MakeMemorial (“we,” “us”) helps funeral homes and families create tribute videos. Because we handle information about people who have passed away and photos shared by grieving families, we treat that data with particular care. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email, and organization for funeral-home staff who sign in.
• Tribute details — the name, dates, and introductory text entered for each memorial.
• Uploaded media — photos and videos uploaded by staff or by family members through a private upload link.
• Usage data — basic, non-identifying logs used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

• To arrange media and render the finished tribute video.
• To let authorized staff and invited family members collaborate on a memorial.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use uploaded family photos to train advertising models.

Family uploads

Family upload links are private and unlisted. Media uploaded through them is visible only to the funeral home managing that memorial. Contributors can add photos without creating an account.

Data retention & deletion

Media and project data are retained for as long as the managing funeral home keeps the project. Staff can delete a project at any time, which removes its associated media. To request deletion of specific data, contact us via the Support page.
