Margaret Rose Anderson

Margaret Rose Anderson, 82, of Portland, Oregon, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 15, 1942, in Seattle, Washington, Margaret lived a life full of love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community.

Margaret was a beloved elementary school teacher for over 35 years, touching the lives of countless children at Lincoln Elementary School. Her passion for education and her warm, nurturing spirit made her a favorite among students and colleagues alike. She had an extraordinary gift for making every child feel special and capable.

She was an avid gardener, known for her beautiful rose garden that she tended with love and care. Margaret was also passionate about painting, often capturing the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest in her watercolors. Her artwork brought joy to many and will be treasured by her family for generations.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James Anderson; her children, David (Jennifer) Anderson and Susan (Michael) Peterson; her grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Sarah, and Jacob; and her sister, Elizabeth Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Clark.
